As February draws to a close, I wanted to create a post reflecting on the best moments of the month. Not surprisingly, this month's reflection will be

all. about. FOOD.

I'm sure many of you remember the Pastry Haul... (I know I do! I think about that chocolate twist every day😍)... but Prague has more to offer than just pastries. So I wanted to share my recommendations for the best restaurants and cafes as well!

Cafes:

For you avocado toast lovers, Monolok Cafe must be your next destination. When my friend ordered the 'Avocados Bread', I had NO idea what was coming for us. This was by far the largest, most beautiful piece of avocado toast I have seen (the photo below does not do its size justice). But avocado wasn't all Monolok had to offer, the extensive coffee menu, variety of breakfast and lunch options, and super comfortable places to sit make this cafe the epitome of a relaxing weekend brunch.

This cafe in the Slezska neighborhood is a hidden gem! From the street you would never expect to walk into a pink, floral wonderland! But that's exactly what it is! Pink lattes, fruit-filled acai bowls, and the THICkest oatmeal I have ever encountered. Seriously, you'll feel like a million bucks using Cafe Chloe's ~gold~ware. And don't worry, it's the perfect place for some instagram photos too 😙!

Lunch:

Have you seen the Hooters on the way to the NYU campus? Well, that's not where I'm suggesting you go... but if you look juuust past the Hooters logo you'll find:

You will spend no more than 5 USD for your entire meal here. From schnitzel to goulash to lentil soup, this place has every Czech dish you could ask for. And some amazing seating areas too.

For those of you veggie lovers (like me) this place is the best! It's a build your own plate deal with everything from salads to pieces of pizza to veggie patties to soups.

Dinner:

The first week out R.A.s told us they were taking us to a "local pub just down the street". We were expecting a dark, dingy restaurant with some bar food and drinks. Little did we know we were about to enter a swanky multi-storied restaurant that brews its own beer and makes the BEST POTATO DUMPLINGS I'VE EVER HAD. *Study abroad students: if anyone's family is coming to town this semester, this is a perfect family dinner place!

For literally whenever:

Chances are if you live in or have been to Prague for an extended period of time, you know this place. Any guesses? I'll give you a hint, it's the ONLY place in this entire country open past 10 pm... and on top of that, it's actually open 24/7! Did you guess it yet?...

Okay so I'll be honest, I'm slightly confused as to why it is impossible to order beans and chicken on your speedy burrito... even if you offer to pay extra? But I don't eat chicken anyway so it's not a deterrent for me. Overall this place is just an all-star. The speedy burrito is the perfect size... big enough to be satisfied but just small enough to avoid the inevitable overeating-Mexican-food-illness. And the wrapping paper the burrito comes in makes it feel like Christmas every time you order! P.s. click that link I have attached for Burrito Loco. It's a little treat for those of you in Prague... you'll thank me later.

So there's my February reflection of the fabulous food I've eaten so far! I can't believe it's been a month since I got here! I guess time really does fly when you're ~havin fun~! Anyway, that's all for now! Stay tuned for some fun posts coming up & my next monthly reflection!

Xoxo,
